Katie is a Senior Supply Chains Adviser within the UK Government’s International Forest Unit. The IFU is a joint FCDO and Department for Energy Security and Net Zero team, which works across government, including the overseas network, to catalyse delivering international commitments to halt and reverse forest loss by 2030. Katie has led work to develop the UK’s demand-side strategy for reducing its deforestation footprint. Katie joined the UK Government in 2017 and prior to that lived and worked in Peru and Washington DC. Katie holds an MSc in Sustainable Business from the Universities of York and Maastricht (dual degree, 2024), and a BA from the College of William and Mary (2014).
